KITH "Tokyo Sakura Project" Lookbook
The KITH “Tokyo Sakura Project” revolves around Japanese traditionalism that is updated with contemporary elements. This assortment of apparel blends technical-wear into daily fashion choices.
Tops include the Gates Noragi Hoody, the Ithaca Crew, and the Putnam Oxford. The Gates Noragi Hoody teems with Japanese sensibilities, such as a single-tie front and slightly oversized fit. This hoody is tri-paneled with invisible zipper side vents. The Ithaca Crew uses angular contours for a more progressive approach, evidenced by the squared neckline and slightly scooped hem. This French terry crewneck is multi-paneled with tonal quilted detailing. The Putnam Oxford is also multi-paneled, but opts for a hidden dual-zip front closure over the conventional button placket. Additional zippers are seen amidst the sleeve cuffs, while collar utilizes hidden snap holders. The Gates Noragi Hoody is priced at $140 USD, the Ithaca Crew at $110 USD, and the Putnam Oxford at $114 USD.
Bottoms include the Vernon Tech Short and the Jennings Compression Pant. The Vernon Tech Short is composed of a poly outer-shell, and is lined with cotton jersey. The side split hems deliver an athletic appearance. The Jennings Compression Pant is made from a breathable fabric that provides comfortable support in a fashionable manner. This pant is adorned with knee panels and ankle zipper cuffs with 3M-trimming. The Vernon Tech Short is priced at $80 USD, while the Jennings Compression Pant is $85 USD.
Also included in this collection is a collaborative capsule with John Elliott + Co, comprised of two Escobar Sweatpants, a L/S Mercer Tee, and two of the never-before-seen S/S Villain Hoody. The S/S Villain Hoodies and Escobar Sweatpants are crafted from custom-made cotton French terry special for KITH. The heather grey styles feature a contrasting burgundy reverse side knit, while the speckled navy garments use a white reverse side knit. The L/S Mercer Tee arrives in an exclusive off-white execution, merging this capsule cohesively with the entire assemblage. The KITH x John Elliott + Co S/S Villain Hoody is priced at $188 USD, the Escobar Sweatpant is $188 USD, and the L/S Mercer Tee is $95 USD.
The focal point of the collection is Ronnie Fieg’s latest work with Puma, which includes an all-new rendition of the R698, as well as a custom-designed silhouette by Fieg, entitled the RF698 Mid. The R698 will retail for $150 USD, and the RF698 Mid is priced at $165 USD.
